PHILLIPS – Tony Phillips, age 68 of Apalachicola, Florida, formerly of Tucker, Georgia, passed away on January 22, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park. The family will receive friends before the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Tony was born on January 18, 1954, in Atlanta to the late John William Phillips and Grace Marie Tarallo Phillips. He attended Tucker High School. Tony retired as an electrician after 25 years from Alert Electric, before beginning his career as a Charter Boat Captain in Apalachicola, Florida. Tony and Ann enjoyed splitting their time between Apalachicola and Panama City Beach. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. He loved singing Karaoke and fishing, and spending time his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Ann McDaniel Phillips of Panama City Beach, FL; daughter & son-in-law, Tammy & Tommy Phillips of Monroe; son & daughter-in-law, John & Amanda Phillips of Snellville; sister & brother-in-law, Joan & Larry Harness of Lawrenceville; as well as 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
