UNDERWOOD-Maire Underwood, Ph.D. age 83 of Snellville, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022., A private Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at North Atlanta Memorial Park, 5196 Winters Chapel Road, Atlanta, GA 30360. Rev. Byron Loyd will officiate. Maire devoted her life to others through her work as a children and family counselor, teacher and life coach for over four decades. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. J. Roland Underwood; She is survived by her son, Pastor Phillip A. and Sherry Underwood of Islamorada, FL.; daughter-in-law, Pam Underwood of Snellville; grandchildren, Andrea and Andy McMahon of Lawrenceville, Alexis and Wihan Nel of Lilburn, Amanda and Daniel McMillan of Lawrenceville; Drew Echols; Darren and Candace Echols; great-grandchildren, Gemma, Levi and Phoebe McMahon; Elliott and Emory Echols; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Sandra Phillips. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bluewater Ministries, 141 Plantation Boulevard, Islamorada, Florida 33036.
