BUTCHER – Joyce C. Butcher, our beautiful BeBe, entered into the presence of Jesus on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the age of 88. The family will receive friends 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Loganville, GA. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Summit Church, 3080 Highway 81 S, Loganville, GA, with Dr. Russ Butcher and Rev. Carl V. (Butch) Butcher, Jr. officiating. The remains will lie-in-state from 10 – 11 AM at the church. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA. Joyce was one of a kind, classy, elegant, and loved so well. She honored and loved the LORD and it was so evident in how she loved and served her “Buddy” relentlessly and selflessly. Oh how she loved her boys, “Butchie”, Eddie and Russ, selflessly and sacrificially. She loved her daughters-in-love Terri and Jill, and blessed them as her own. BeBe absolutely adored her seven grandchildren, her grandsons-in-love and granddaughter-in-love, and oh those ten wonderful great grandchildren! As long as she was able, BeBe attended all the events her family were involved in and was their biggest cheerleader. She was so proud of them all and showered them with love, gifts, treats and encouragement. You would rarely see her without a baby in her arms. She was the best shopping buddy and could style leopard print flawlessly! She was such a loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She always was intentional about staying close, caring and in contact with her family and friends. Joyce was a cheerleader at SW DeKalb High School and enjoyed the reunions and regular lunch gatherings with old friends and classmates. She was a stay-at-home Mom and started working in the office at Stockbridge Jr. High School when Russ got there so she could keep an eye on him! She later went on to work in the Henry County Board of Education business office and retired from there many years ago but continued to remain close with so many of her dear friends. Joyce loved the LORD and her church families. For years she was a member of the Angels Sunday School Class at Summit Church and oh the deep friendships, experiences and dear memories they shared. For the past several years she has been involved at Church At the Grove in small groups and Bible studies and they have been so faithful to visit and bless her. Even as we grieve we rejoice that she is with her LORD and reunited in heaven with her family gone on before her! Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Butcher; son, Eddie Butcher; parents, Hobart Waco and Agnes Rose (Burnside) Crowe; and brothers, Hobart and Thomas Crowe. She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-love, Carl V. (Butch) Butcher, Jr. (Terri) of Monroe, GA, Russ Butcher (Jill) of Loganville, GA; brother & sister-in-love, Donald Crowe (Frances) of Conyers, GA; sister-in-love, Jackie Crowe of Stockbridge, GA; grandchildren & spouses, Katie Connor (Michael) of Savannah, GA, Meg Richardson (Bobby) of Monroe, GA, Carleigh Satterfield (Dillon) of Monroe, GA, Jeb Butcher (Em) of Social Circle, GA, Josiah Butcher of Chattanooga, TN, Abigail (Burch) Langstaff of Nashville, TN, Caleb Butcher of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Harper Connor, Luke Connor, Merritt Connor, Charlie Richardson, Murphy Richardson, Remi Satterfield, Elliett Satterfield, Sam Butcher, Henry Butcher, and Lucy Butcher.
