POWELL - Winfred F. Powell, age 83 of Oxford, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 17, 2022 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Heil officiating. Interment will follow at Ozora Baptist Church Cemetery. Winfred was a retired truck driver and mechanic who loved collecting and fixing antique cars. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, a member of the American Legion Post 332, a Mason and a Shriner. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Powell; son, Randy Joe Powell; parents, William Clifford and Sally Pearl (Winslett) Powell; brother, Jesse Powell; and granddaughter, Sandy Garrett. He is survived by his children, Ricky and Melanie Powell of Greensboro, GA, Rodney and Judy Powell of Monroe, GA, David and Cherie Powell of Covington, GA, Wallace and Donna Sears of Abbeville, SC, Joyce and Ronald Garrett of Covington, GA, Janie Hudson of Covington, GA; sisters, Ruby Boss of Blue Ridge, GA, Carolyn Thompson of Oxford, GA, Joyce Bryant of Loganville, GA; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
