John A. Veverka

VEVERKA – John Albert Veverka, age 74 of Grayson, GA formerly of Cicero, IL passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022. John was preceded in death by his parents Arthur & Grayce Veverka; and his sister and brother-in-law Judith & Richard Tonhaiser. He is survived by his wife Sandra Veverka; niece and husband Amy & Richard Marrero; nephew, Steven Tonhaiser; great nephew Joseph Marrero and many other loving family members. John was a US Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a mortician, Western Electric employee, and general contractor. He was a commander at VFW post 5255 for 16 years. John was also a member of the American Legion, Amvets, I.O.O.F Bohemia Lodge No. 202, and NCO Non-Commissioned Officers Association. A service will be held at the VFW in Lawrenceville on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 AM.
