Jimmie Ruth McCurry, age 90 of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Dr. Regynal Eppinger Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at East Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 825 Winterville Road, Athens, GA 30605. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Mrs. McCurry was preceded in death by her brother & sister-in-law, Harold and Betty McCurry; grandsons, Travis Kelley and Tony Harrison, Jr.; and great granddaughter, Wendi S. Still. She is survived by her children, Malinda and Arthur Sledge, Villa Rica, GA, Dorothy Tate, Lawrenceville, GA, Angela McNeill, Lawrenceville, GA, Karen and Rick Cook, Lawrenceville, GA, Littie Yvette Stockmann, Lawrenceville, GA; brothers & sister-in-law, Willie and Ella McCurry and Joe McCurry, both of Houston, TX, David and Jeane McCurry, Savannah, GA; sister, Betty Johnson, Athens, GA; grandchildren, Audrey and Benjiman Henderson, Lawrenceville, GA, Benjamin and Jimez Hodges, Lawrenceville, GA, Lacherra Tate, Lawrenceville, GA, Wanda Garneaux, Villa Rica, GA, DeWayne Tate, Atlanta, GA, Quinton and Lenora Tate, Villa Rica, GA, Brittney Ward, Houston, TX, Trevin and Serene Tate, Lithonia, GA; 24 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
