Obituary:
GALLMAN- David Clinton “Dave”, age 87 of Monroe, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Bold Springs United Methodist Church, to lie in state at 1:30 PM with Rev. Joseph S. Dye officiating. Burial at Westlawn Memorial Gardens, Monroe. Mr. Gallman was a veteran of WWII serving as Sergeant in the U.S.Army Air Corps as Gunner/Radio Operator on B25 aircraft, serving in the European Theater. He became a State Farm Insurance Agent in 1960, serving the Monroe and surrounding areas until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of Bold Springs UMC, a member of Monroe Rotary Club, Charter Member of he Monroe Assoc. of Life Underwriters, Charter Member of the Monroe Toastmasters Club. He was a 50 year Mason, a member of Generous Warren Lodge #20, F & AM; 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Yorkrite Mason and a Shriner. He was a member of the American Legion Post 233, Loganville, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dennis James and Mamie Hall Gallman, wife of 33 yrs; Maria DeNoronha Gallman. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Sharon & Bob Bramblett of Stone Mountain; son and daughter-in-law: Gary & Terry Gallman, Maxton, NC.; son and daughter-in-law: Chris & Jean Gallman of Loganville; sister: Bonnie & Mack England, Calhoun; Catherine and John Stanley of Resaca; brother-in-law & sister-in-law: Henry and Lucy Madruga, Palm Beach, FL.; ten grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, memorials to Bold Springs UMC, 7625 Bold Springs Church Rd. Monroe, GA 30656. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 6, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
