He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Burgess and is survived by: Wife: Fern Nellie Burgess; Oxford; Children: Gene & Laura Burgess, Loganville; Randy Burgess, Marietta; Brother: Norman Burgess, Ocala, FL; Sister: Helen Cook, Grants, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Rachael Burgess, Josh Burgess, Randy Burgess, Jr., Travis Burgess, Caleb Burgess, Hannah Burgess, Silas Burgess, Triston Burgess, Ricky Burgess & Crystal Burgess.
