BELL - William Thomas “Tom” Bell, Jr., age 66 of Monroe, died March 15, 2009. Mr. Bell was a graduate of Georgia Tech where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He received his Masters degree from Georgia State University. He served on the Army Corp of Engineers during the Vietnam War, worked for Delta Air Lines for 25 years where he served as Vice President of Airport Customer Service, was a member of the Julienton River Club, served on the Walton County Board of Commissioners, was a Walton EMC Board Member, and a member of Monroe First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Bettye Jean Bell and father: William Thomas Bell, Sr. He is survived by his wife: Beth Bell of Monroe; children: Jennie Bell of Brooklyn, NY and Jeff Bell of Atlanta; mother: Anne P. Bell of Gainesville; sister: Linda Dorsey of Gainesville. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Monroe First Baptist Church with Dr. Glen Money officiating. Flowers are accepted or memorials can be made to The American Cancer Society, 2200 Lake Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30319.
